About the brand Sock It to Me
Sock It to Me from Oregon (USA) has been delighting customers with fantastic theme socks since 2004. Behind one of the world's largest suppliers of colorful socks is Carrie Atkinson. Carrie graduated from college in early 2000 and went on to work as an English teacher in South Korea. It was there that she first learned about brightly patterned, high-quality socks, which were quite different from the functional models in plain colors available in the United States. After a year in South Korea, Carrie returned to Oregon and made the decision to start her own business.
Carrie decided to introduce Americans to the colorful sock culture from South Korea. In the beginning, she imported the first models and sold them in a small booth at the Portland Saturday Market in 2004. The designs, which were still very unusual at the time, met with great interest and sold extremely successfully. Gradually, Carrie created the first of her own sock designs in her bedroom, which were produced directly by manufacturers in South Korea. Carrie sought partners at trade shows and sold her colorful creations to wholesalers in the US.
In the years that followed, Sock It to Me grew to become one of the largest suppliers of colorful theme socks. The company now employs more than 40 people who have created over 400 sock designs. Today, Sock It to Me supplies more than 4,000 wholesale customers worldwide and also generates over 10% of total sales with its own online store.
Today, Sock It to Me offers colorful theme socks in all variations. The range includes children's socks, crew socks, knee socks, sneaker socks and invisible socks. In addition, Sock It to Me sells stylish slips for women and fun boxer shorts for men. Patterned face masks round out the product line.
